About the Author

As a business partner of an advertising agency, Sarah’s mind thrives in the creative. Sarah’s fiction blends fantasy with adventure and suspense. Her goal in writing is to inspire hearts and minds to pursue their destiny and overcome. Awakening of the Giants is filled with symbolism and allegories, as readers are challenged to pursue their own awakening.

While a student at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL, Sarah majored in Communication Studies, where she began her career in media, serving as a news reporter at a local radio station. After graduation, Sarah attended Trinity Evangelical Seminary in Deerfield, IL, where she worked towards her Masters of Arts in Religion. After a year of graduate work, Sarah went full-time into media in various roles, including radio sales, talk show host, and voice-over work. You can hear Sarah’s work on radio stations nationwide. 

Sarah also founded a school and served as administrator and teacher for fifteen years as she raised her children. This experience was invaluable in providing her with a unique platform to indulge deeper into her love for writing, literature, and history while planning curriculum and teaching.

Sarah has been married to Jeff for 30+ years, and they have four grown sons. Life with all boys is a beautiful ongoing adventure as they enjoy traveling, biking, hiking, mountain climbing, gardening, cooking, music, and growing deeper in their faith together. Reading aloud is still a favorite family pastime.

I have been married for 25 years to my knight in shining armor. We are blessed with four boys ages 21 to 13. I have had the privilege of homeschooling my boys and run a school for homeschoolers called, “Homeschool University”. Our school serves as a support group for homeschool families and has been a huge blessing to our family and many others through the years. I left the business world ten years ago and never thought I would be where I am today, homeschooling mom extraordinaire. I have to say, I wouldn’t trade places with my old life. Being with my boys has allowed me the gift of time, to be with them as they grow up so fast. We are still in a process as we move forward in our relationship with Christ and my heart’s desire is to reach out to the hearts of families as we all strive to raise up godly children. As we see the world growing increasingly evil, my prayer is that we may we may stand as “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation shining among them like stars in the sky holding firmly to the word of life so that we will be able to boast on the day of Christ that we did not run or labor in vain.” I pray this blog will be an encouragement to families as they raise their children to be Christ followers and turn their hearts towards home.
